Privacy policy

Last updated 10 September 2026. This policy covers linkstars.dev. Each of our products has its own policy covering the data an organization stores in it.

Who we are

Linkstars LLC, a limited liability company registered in Indiana, United States, operates this website and the products described on it. Questions about this policy, and requests under it, reach us through Contact.

This website

We do not run analytics on linkstars.dev, we set no cookies, and we embed no third-party trackers, advertising pixels or social widgets. Nothing you type is stored on this website.

The contact form is the one exception worth spelling out. It is a plain form that posts directly to Basin, where your submission is stored in a private submissions dashboard under their privacy policy as well as this one. We read it there and use what you send to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list, because we do not operate one.

Our hosting provider records ordinary server logs for each request — IP address, timestamp, the path requested, and the user-agent string — for the purposes of delivering the site and defending it against abuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with any other source.

If you email us, we hold that message and your address for as long as we need to answer you and to keep a record of the correspondence.

Our products

When an organization uses our software, it decides what member information to collect and why. In that relationship the organization is the controller of those records and we are a processor acting on its instructions. We process member data to provide the service to that organization, and for nothing else.

If you are a member of such an organization and want to see, correct or delete your records, ask the organization directly — it holds the relationship and the authority. If you write to us instead, we will pass the request on to them and tell you that we have.

What we will never do

  • Sell, rent, broker or otherwise trade personal information.
  • Use customer membership records to advertise, to any party including ourselves.
  • Train models on customer data.
  • Grant a third party access to customer data except where it is necessary to run the service, or where the law compels us.

Sub-processors

We rely on a small number of infrastructure providers to run the service — hosting, managed database, authentication, email delivery and payment processing. They act on our instructions under contract and may process personal data only to provide those functions. We will name the current list to any customer on request.

Retention and security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it and is logged. We keep customer data for as long as the customer's account is active, and delete or return it on request after the relationship ends, subject to any retention the law requires of us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your data protection authority. Reach us through Contact and we will respond within the period the applicable law allows.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Where a change materially affects customers, we will tell them directly rather than rely on this page.
